About Pet Friends of Duplin County

Pet Friends of Duplin County is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2000 by Chloe Rivenbark. We believe in the deep bond between people and their pets, and our mission is to enhance the health, safety, and well-being of companion animals in our county. Through programs like subsidized spay/neuter services, low-cost rabies clinics, and a pet food pantry, we strive to serve both pets and people in need. With community support and partnership, we’re committed to making a lasting difference, one paw at a time.

PFDC leadership consists of five Board of Directors and five Officers: President, VP Membership, VP Fundraising, Secretary, and Treasurer. Board members serve 3-year terms with no restriction on the number of terms. Officers serve 1-year terms, up to 3 consecutive terms. Elections take place in February and March, and terms begin on April 1.
