Pet Friends is pleased to offer free and low-cost rabies clinics throughout Duplin County
Our free and low-cost rabies clinics for Duplin County! In partnership with Dr. Hunter (Warsaw Animal Hospital), Dr. Blanton (Wallace Animal Hospital), and Duplin County Animal Services, we offer free rabies shots for the first five pets per household and $5 for each additional pet. Dogs must be leashed, and cats or ferrets must be in carriers.

Rabies Safety Reminders
If your pet is bitten or exposed:
Call your veterinarian and Duplin County Animal Services right away.
Use gloves when handling your pet, the virus can spread through saliva on their fur.
If your pet is vaccinated, ask your vet about a booster shot.
Capture or safely observe the wild or stray animal until help arrives.
If the animal has an owner, get their name, address, phone number, and rabies vaccination information in writing.
Please remember: Rabies is always fatal. Take these steps immediately if exposure occurs.
If a human is bitten or exposed:
Clean the wound immediately with soap and water.
Seek medical attention as soon as possible.
Report the incident to Duplin County Animal Services at (910) 296-2159 or call 911.
