If you not able to make it to the shelter during open hours, please email your name & pics to each shelter

Please note that Duplin County regulations require that found animals be held 72 hours to ensure owner can be found before they are to be given a new home.

If you come across a stray animal, Duplin County regulations require you report the animal to DCAS within 72 hours so that they have a chance to locate an owner.

If you need to give up an animal (stray, found, family circumstances), it is best to take it to the shelter. They work very hard to find appropriate homes for these animals and it is the best chance for them.
